For claims for local international trade fair, company must submit a copy of the event report from the fair organizer, which has been certified by an external auditor together with a copy of the auditor's practicing certificate after the event is completed. The report must certify that the fair has fulfilled the criteria of an international fair, as follows: |
| i) |
minimum space occupied for the fair must be at least 1000 sq meters gross, and |
| ii) |
at least 20% of visitors must be foreign visitors, and |
| iii) |
at least 20% net space is rented to foreign exhibitors, or |
| iv) |
at least 20% of exhibitors are foreign exhibitors. |

For participation in trade missions to promote exports of Malaysian made products and services not organized by Government Agencies, the organizer must apply for approval of the mission programme one month before the event. |

Production of CD ROM and Video can be considered for MDG only if it is part of the company's participation in trade fairs, trade missions or participation in MTC Dubai. |

Claims for the grant is subject to the acceptance of the promotional items by the MDG Approval Committee. |
|
|
For printing of promotional items, companies will be eligible to apply up to RM15,000 in grants. Companies must use the services of local printing company to benefit from this grant. Once the RM15,000 is fully utilized, grants will not be given for this activity. |

Promotion of brands overseas |
|
|
This Scheme is for the promotion of Malaysian brand names overseas. The brand must be registered in Malaysia or overseas and the company must own rights to the brand. Eligible expenses include: |

Engineering support services such as calibration, electroplating, machining, heat treatment, metal casting, metal forging; |

Software development such as CAD, CAM, CAE, ERP, CIM, SCM, CRM; |

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Claims for reimbursement for all eligible activities must be submitted within 3 months of completion of the activity with the original receipts or copies certified by External Auditors and invoices.

Companies are encouraged to apply for the matching grant at least one month before undertaking the activity. This is to ascertain if the company or activity is eligible for the grant. |
|
|
| |
For preparation of promotional items, promotion of brands overseas and designing and improving packaging, companies must submit the application for the grant one month before undertaking the activity.
All supporting documents that companies must provide when applying for eligibility of the grant and submitting claims is described in the MDG application form and the checklist attached to the form. Companies are advised to submit all the relevent document when applying for the MDG.
